Orphanage Fire
Early one morning Calista is reading the newspaper and sees a story about an orphanage fire in a nearby town.
All of the children were moved to safety but they have nowhere to place all the children. There is still one child (name and age not given) still living at the hospital until other arrangements can be made. Contributions were being requested to help with the housing for the child as well as the rebuilding of the orphanage.
Calista's heart is touched by the story of this child. She knows that there is something she can do. She goes straight to the phone and makes a contribution. She also asks about the procedure to either foster or adopt the child.
When Gregory got home from work, she told him the story and what she had discovered about adoption. After talking it over with each other, they called a family meeting.
Hank Makes a Friend
Hmmm, Hank has a way of making "Just chillin'" into something else.
During a break from his money trees and painting, he takes a moment to get to know Lydia better. Although she's in Hope's class, he feels that his accomplishments should be able to impress her. Especially with all of the A+ grades he brings home every day. And if that isn't enough to impress her, he'll let her know that he's not even halfway through his teenage years and has already made ยง10,000.
Today's the day
Calista is waiting for the child to be dropped off today. She doesn't remember being this nervous with the birth of her other two children!
Of course, with Hope and Hank she had time to get used to them before they could voice their displeasure with her.
This child has had a life that Calista has not been a part of. She hopes that she can help this child to deal with everything that has happened and still be happy.
Hi Stephan
Hope is just a few months away from her birthday. She has had her eye on Stephan Gothier for some time. She likes the way his eyes seem to twinkle when he smiles. When she's an adult she wants to see where this friendship will go.
Hope can tell that her Father wants her to meet one of the local policemen he knows, but she really can't imagine any friend of her father's being young enough or cute enough to keep her attention. After all, Dad is so old!!!
Silly Frederick
Calista barely pays any attention to the ghost of her late Father-in-law. He was stuck in the chair for several hours before I realized that the family seemed to be thinking of Frederick a lot today. And always when they came around that corner.
I went in for a closer look and found... another Glitchy Ghost.
