Maura and Amin
Time has gone by and Wilma has fallen in love with and married Amin Sims. When they got engaged, Wilma invited Maura over to tell her the news.
Amin was quick to let Maura know that her freindship with Wilma is very important to him too. In fact, he would like them all to be friends.
Maura was glad that Wilma had someone to take care of her and Anthony Stewart. She won't be around forever and has been concerned with their welfare.
Maura and Amin spent quite some time chatting and getting to know each other better. This really helped relieve so much of Maura's worry.
New Love
Because Wilma is too aware of how short life can be, she wanted to have another child right away. Amin understands her feelings and thought that it would be good to have a child while Anthony Stewart is still young. He didn't think that a teenager and an infant in the same household was somthing he wanted to experience.
(I love this photo. The expressions on both their faces are so sweet.)
Wilma and Amin
Wilma never thought that she would be truly happy again. She still misses Giles and sees him everytime she looks in Anthony Stewart's face. She knows that she will always love him but is glad that she had enough love for Amin too.
She is still amazed at how patient Amin was when they first started dating. He has been so sweet with Anthony and helps him study and plays with him often. He's such a good father-figure.
Telling Anthony Stewart
Wilma wanted to wait for a while before she told Anothony Stewart of the new family member. She finally told him on Saturday morning.
Anthony Stewart was so excited he even offered to go to his room and get some of his toys for the new baby.
"Honey, it's going to be a while before the baby is going to be able to play with your toys. But that is so nice that you want to share. You're going to be such a wonderful big brother."
Preparing the Family
Maura feels as though her time is just about through. Although Gregory was against it, Maura wanted to prepare the children.
"Gregory, they need to be told. They have grown up so well. You and Calista have done such a great job raising them. I know that they are ready and mature enough to know the truth."
Taking a trip
"Mom, maybe I'm not ready." With this, Gregory gets up from the table to leave.
Maura starts her tale, "Children, you need to know that I will be going away soon. It's getting close to time for me to go see your Grandfather and Uncle Giles. I will miss you both so very much, and when I leave I won't be able to come back. But I will check on you often because I love you and always will.
"But I am old, and very tired. And I miss Giles and your Grandfather so much. I know that you will be sad, and it's ok to be sad when I go. But remember that I will be happy and that I won't be alone where I'm going."
Do I Have To?
The very next night, Maura was surprised to feel a chill run down her spine. When she turned to see if a window had been opened, she saw the Grim Reaper.
Even the sight of the hula dancers and the fruit drink didn't keep Maura from experiencing a momentary sadness. She thought of all that she was leaving behind; her family, her friends, and her new love, Brandon. But she knew that it was time.
With a shrug of her shoulders, she took the drink and left.
